November 21st Colour Art

imageimageToday’s exercise is inspired by the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Gardens in St. Ives, Cornwall.

These Sculture Gardens opened posthumously in 1976 to showcase Hepworth’s art in what is perhaps the most perfect position, her home studios in St. Ives.

Placed outdoors, Hepworth’s organic shapes are perfectly complimented by the natural forms of plants and by the ever-shifting weather conditions which guarantee no two visits will ever be the same.

I have drawn upon one of these sculptures for my final picture. The end result is far removed from the original artwork, so I’d love to know, if you’ve been there, can you guess which one I chose?

Thanks for reading.
