November 20th Colour Art

My inspiration for today’s exercise is painting at its simplest level: hand and foot prints.

I felt further Mary Stevenson’s ‘Footprints in the Sand’, and I have included this in my final piece.

These inspire me because their simplicity speaks volumes, and they express so much to so many people.

Artistic expression is at its most effective when the artist leaves their ego behind them for a moment, and instead learns how to communicate with warmth, sincerity, vulnerability.

I believe this is what these artists achieved, and this is what inspires me so much. What do you think?

Thank you.
