Advent Poetry 7th December

Moonlight Sonata

Did Beethoven dream of Bonn

As his fingers danced across the keys

And shards of silver light filled the concert stage

To rounds of rapturous applause but not one encore?

Beethoven bemused, the romance of his music still lives on

But as we place him in a Santa’s hat, is he laughing with us or is he turning in his grave?
