Advent Poetry – Starting from tomorrow…

…I will post one poem a day leading up to Christmas Eve!

Since winning NaNoWriMo last month, you’ll be pleased to know I haven’t been resting upon my laurels. Far from it; I’ve been busily thinking about new ways to share my creative writing with you here, on this blog.

So, what’s Advent Poetry?

Good Question! I’ve just come back from a five day break in Germany where I took in the Christmas markets of Cologne, Bonn, and Aachen. This proved to be a truly magical experience which has not only helped me to recharge my batteries but also to get into the festive spirit.

At this time of year, Germany becomes a Kingdom of Sweets, a feast for the eyes as much as anything. Walking around the shops, I felt especially tempted by the Chocolate-laden Advent Calendars displayed in windows. But on arriving in Bonn on the first day of December, I came up with an even better idea. Why not mark the run-up to Christmas in my own personal way, with carefully crafted poems.
I’m posting my first poem here tomorrow. I hope you’ll be joining me for the countdown to the Yuletide 🙂

How are you celebrating Advent? Thanks for reading!

I think you have a great idea with doing something personal instead of doing something everyone else is doing. I don’t celebrate advent but this time of year is personal to a lot of people, so I say do it the way you feel, don’t follow tradition if you don’t want too. Make it your own personal love story to the Creator ❤
