Day 10 – Featuring on this site for the first time…

…my first collaboration of the year, a poem originally published in the Paperbook Collective ‘zine, in February

Chinese New Year Haiku

Sweet Cherry Blossom

Showering prosperity

Drifts like confetti.

As lanterns meet stars

O’er the Eastern hemisphere,

A new Era dawns.

And when the world tilts,

A copper globe heralds in

The Year of the Horse.

I’m so terrible at haikus – I’m in awe of those who can write them well! I love yours, Katie. Chinese New Year is one of my favourite times of the year. 🙂

  2. Katie Hamer says:

Thanks, Topaz. From you that is a huge compliment, your writing is always so beautiful 🙂
