…Reasons to be thankful
I’ve given thanks for the people who have cheered me on, and the moments I wish I could re-live a thousand times.
On Day 5, I mentioned my most important reason for being thankful, which is health. I’ve seen for myself how fragile the human state can be, and understand how swiftly we can deteriorate.
Health was my main reason to be Thankful, my Part One of a short series to coincide with Thanksgiving in the U.S. from last year. My Part Two was friendship. More on that tomorrow…
My Part Three was music. I can hear the same song hundreds of times over, and yet it will still resonate the same message, evoke the same emotion. There are not many aspects of life for which this rings true.
In my Final reason for being thankful, posted on December 29 of last year, I sent out a big Thank You to my followers, and set out resolutions for the year ahead. I’ll let you know how I got on with fulfilling these on Day 9, so keep reading?
Most importantly of all, I’ve learned not take life for granted, but to stay open to the potential of even small, inconsequential moments. I won’t let the bad in life taint my view, or change my attitude, but instead try to rise above it.
How about you? What reasons do you have for being thankful? I’d love to hear your comments.
