Postcard Poetry

I’ve just completed a ten day motorbike tour of Europe, going from Cardiff, Wales to the Tirol region of Austria. Along the way, I travelled through England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. I decided to record my adventures in a series of postcard  poems, which I will be sharing on this blog. Today’s marks my overnight voyage by ferry, from Harwich, in Essex, England to Hoek van Holland, in the Netherlands.

Early morn’, sun rising –
Land ahoy – Hook of Holland.
Drifting on calm seas,
between grey shadows of homes,
windmills wave me in.

I’m also still working on Eva’s Story, so watch this space!
